The Study was conducted between October 2005 and February 2006 in Lahanam zone, Savannakhet Province. Through formal and informal methods, it has been found that sukhaphaap implied physical and personal wellbeing while sabaai meant mental and social one. However informants indicated that the concepts relate to each other and sabaai could be used for a whole condition too.
