A stone inscription concerning the Jiangxi Hui-guan in Mengzi Prefecture recorded the case of an illegal occupation of the guild premises. The Hui-guan, which covered its own running expenses by its own activities, attracted the unemployed people who sought to rob the funds of the guild.
