| 内容記述 | この儀礼は、稲の病気を事前に防ぐ儀礼と、病気になった稲を治療する儀礼とに大別できる。鶏、犬、豚、牛などの動物が供犠され、黒白の色別、雌雄の別が強調される。稲に悪さを行う霊や直接害を与えている鼠を、供犠した動物の生血や調理した肉でもてなし、遠方へ立去らせ、再侵入を防ぐことで、稲の順調な生育を促し、豊作を願うところに目的がある。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The focus of this report is on the two kinds of rice farming rituals practiced among the shifting cultivators of northern Laos. One kind is to prevent diseases of rice. Another is to cure diseased rice. A proper domestic animal should be killed in the ritual. It is an offering to the evil spirits or mice which do harm to rice. The ritual aims to enhance the growth of rice and good harvest. | |||||
