| 内容記述 | 聞き取り調査で得た情報をもとに、ドンクワーイ村の人口変化と稲作の変化の傾向を示し、考察した。その内容は以下のようである。 １）ドンクワーイ村の人口は、1920 － 30 年から1970 年代前半までは増減を繰り返しつつも80 世帯を大きく超えることはなかったが、1970 年代後半からは人口は全体として増加の方向に向かった。1985―1995 年にもっとも人口増加が激しかった。 ２）浮稲栽培は、1976（1977）年のマークヒョウ川河口への堰の設置以降拡大していき、1979 － 1984 年には最盛期を迎えた。だが、1984 年に村の南部で乾季作がはじまると、翌年から浮稲の作付け減少が始まる。 1994 － 1995 年に浮稲生産が洪水のために大きく減少したあと、1996 年には乾季作用の灌漑水路ができて乾季作の作付け面積が最大になった。浮稲栽培の盛衰には環境変化が大きな要因として働いているが、一方で浮稲栽培の衰退と乾季作拡大の間に相関関係も見られる。 今後の調査項目としては、① 1970 年代後半以降の人口増加の要因とみなされる、ドンクワーイ村を取り巻く社会的・生態的環境変化を特定すること、②ドンワーイ村での悉皆調査の結果分析によって、人口増減の原因をさぐること、③国勢調査のデータによって、1995 年と2005 年の人口・戸数・世帯数の正確な数値を確認すること、④聞き取り調査などによって、個々の世帯で浮稲生産から乾季作への転換が起こったのかどうかを確認すること、などが挙げられる。 |

| 内容記述 | We find the following by examining data obtained in interviews with villagers of Dong Khwaay Village. 1) Population and the number of households of Dong Khwaay Village since 1920 － 30 until the first half of 1970s ebbed and flowed, but did not far exceeded 80 households. Dong Khwaay Village has been gaining population since the second half of 1970s. Between 1985 and 1995, there was the most rapid expansion of the population. 2) Floating rice cultivation of Dong Khwaay Village started to expand after the estuarial barrier dam of the Maak Hiew River was constructed in 1976 (1977) and was at its peak between 1979 and 1984. Planting of floating rice, however, began to decrease at 1985, whose previous year is the first year that dry season rice was cultivated in the southern area of the village. Because of floods in 1994 － 1995, floating rice cultivation was decreased drastically. At the following year, irrigation canals were constructed in the dry season rice fields and dry season rice became to be cultivated in the largest area. Rise and fall of floating rice cultivation have been influenced by environmental changes. On the other hand, fall of floating rice cultivation correlated with expansion of dry season rice cultivation. |
